About this tour

Embark on an unforgettable journey through some of Ireland's most iconic landscapes on a full-day excursion departing from Dublin. Early in the morning, we will set off towards the west coast, crossing the lush green heart of the island while our expert guides introduce you to Ireland's rich history, culture and traditions, bringing the landscape to life along the way.

On our way, we will make a short stop at Barack Obama Plaza, where you will have time to use the restrooms, buy snacks or coffee and stretch your legs. This service station is named after former US President Barack Obama, whose Irish ancestors came from the nearby village of Moneygall. Obama visited Moneygall in 2011 to celebrate his Irish heritage, making this small village famous worldwide.

Our first main destination will be the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland’s most famous natural landmarks. Stretching for approximately 8 kilometres along the Atlantic coast and reaching heights of over 200 metres, the cliffs offer breathtaking views over the ocean. You will have time to walk along the designated paths and viewpoints, enjoy the dramatic scenery and on clear days, admire views towards Galway Bay and the Aran Islands.

After visiting the cliffs, we will continue towards Galway, enjoying panoramic views of the Burren along the way. This unique region is famous for its vast limestone landscape, shaped over millions of years by geological processes and erosion. Despite its rocky appearance, the Burren is home to a remarkable variety of plants, wildlife and archaeological sites. We will also pass Dunguaire Castle, a picturesque 16th-century tower house located on the shores of Galway Bay.

We will then arrive in Galway, one of Ireland’s most charming and vibrant cities. Famous for its colourful streets, traditional pubs, live music and lively atmosphere, Galway combines a rich history with a strong cultural identity. You will have time to explore the city centre, stroll through the Latin Quarter, visit the area around Eyre Square and the Spanish Arch, or simply enjoy its shops, cafés and pubs at your own pace.

After a day full of unforgettable sights and experiences, we will begin our journey back to Dublin. Along the way, you can relax and enjoy the changing scenery as the Irish countryside unfolds at sunset, offering a peaceful and scenic end to the day. This carefully designed itinerary combines lively cities, unique natural environments and world-famous landmarks, giving you a comprehensive and enriching experience of Ireland's wild Atlantic beauty in just one day.
